Call to Prayer
Keeping the Lord's watch in West Virginia
Moravians
A group of refugees that numbered 24 men and 24 women determined that the flame of intercession should never go out on their watch. This prayer gathering lasted 100 years and included four generations. These Moravians intercessors sent out 300 missionaries that took the gospel to the nations and some even sold themselves into slavery, saying "May the Lamb that was slain receive the reward of His suffering."
Connecting the Dates
We find ourselves being connected to this movement in an unplanned but divinely orchestrated way as the Appalachian Prayer Center was launched on August 27th, the anniversary that the Moravians launched their gathering. This connection of dates, we believe is a prophetic confirmation to what is now burning in our hearts, that the flames of intercession should never go out in all Appalachia, beginning with West Virginia.
Vision
We believe the Lord is calling us to burn with intercession in every region of WV until He comes back.
24 Hour Regional Prayer Unto the Lord
The way we plan to accomplish this is through strategically connecting the praying people in the WV Prayer Alliance to cover 24 hours a day seven days a week in every region to build a wall of unceasing prayer because He is worthy. Each heart that connects to this call to prayer allows us to join with the saints in history and also ascribe to the Lord the glory due to His name. From this, we will see burning hearts that will join with the anthem of the Moravians and many believers throughout history, "May the Lamb that was slain receive the reward of His suffering. "
Prayer From Where You Are
This commitment will be between you and the Lord and will be from wherever you are. There is no need for this to be at a church or a certain location.
Tuesday, August 27th, 2019
We will launch 24 hours a day prayer in every region of WV on August 27th.
Social Media Engagement
We will use Facebook to communicate with the state and be united in our prayers. This will also allow us to have quick responses to the needs that would arise in our regions and state.
